Joseph Natarell
Joseph Natarelli is office managing partner in New Haven, Connecticut, and a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. A specialist in accounting for construction contractors, Mr. Natarelli also serves as national leader of Marcum’s Construction Services practice, overseeing audit, consulting, and taxation services to construction clients ranging from start-ups to multi-billion-dollar international enterprises.

Mr. Natarelli has more than 30 years of experience including advising on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. He has served as a technical reviewer for the AICPA’s construction audit and taxation guides for more than two decades and had the privilege of chairing the AICPA National Construction Program Conference Committee from 2012-2014.
Mr. Natarelli is a valued advisor on diverse construction projects, providing expertise on improving job performance and enhancing profitability. He also provides thought leadership on various accounting and auditing matters as a conference panelist and contributing author to construction publications. He has been interviewed by numerous trade and business media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Businessweek, and Fox Business, among others.
Under Mr. Natarelli’s leadership, Marcum’s national Construction Services group has innovated a robust curriculum of industry summits and technical webinars focused on helping contractors continuously enhance their understanding of complex financial concepts and strategic planning. He also spearheaded several definitive industry resources for contractors, including the annual Marcum National Construction Survey, the quarterly Marcum Commercial Construction Index, the Marcum PAS Contractor Compensation Quarterly, and the annual Marcum JOLTS Analysis of construction employment trends. Construction Executive magazine has recognized Marcum as a Top Three construction services provider.

Michael Balter
Michael Balter serves as regional managing partner for the Southeast. Additionally, he is Assurance Services leader for the Southeast region and is a member of Marcum’s Executive Committee.
Mr. Balter joined Marcum in 2014 with more than 25 years of client service experience in the construction, manufacturing, distribution, and service industries.

Michael Balter serves as regional managing partner for the Southeast. Additionally, he is Assurance Services leader for the Southeast region and is a member of Marcum’s Executive Committee.
Mr. Balter joined Marcum in 2014 with more than 25 years of client service experience in the construction, manufacturing, distribution, and service industries.
Mr. Balter holds an MBA from Florida Atlantic University and a BS in Accounting from the University of Florida, where he serves on the Accounting Advisory Board. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) – South Florida. He is also a Board member and past president of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and is chairman of the FICPA Construction Conference.
Mr. Balter authored the Financial Management section of the Contractors Manual for Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and recently completed his term as financial counsel for the South Florida chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America. He also is a regular contributor to industry journals including Construction Focus, Construction Ink, and Building Florida.

Bill Clark is a partner in the Assurance Services division and is the Construction Industry Practice Group Leader in Marcum’s Nashville, Tennessee office. He has over 26 years of experience in public and private accounting for construction contractors. Clients rely on him to supervise audits, reviews and other engagements. He also consults with them regarding contract costing, fixed asset purchases and financing, taxation issues and strategy and continuity planning. He regularly assists clients in the implementation and evaluation of systems of internal control and with opportunities to improve bonding, licensing and prequalification capacities.

Paul DiTredici is a partner in Marcum’s Assurance Services Group and co-leader of its New York Construction Service Group. He provides assurance and consulting services to various types of clientele in the construction and real estate industries, working closely with general contractors, construction managers, and a wide range of subcontractors. In addition, Mr. DiTredici also provides tax planning and compliance services. His proficiency goes further than traditional areas of accounting as he is strategic planner and trusted business advisor for his clients.

With more than 20 years of public and private accounting experience, Mr. DiTredici has authored many articles that have been published in various professional publications. In addition, he actively participates in community and fundraising efforts. He serves on the board of directors as assistant treasurer of the Long Island Chapter of the Risk Management Association and is an active tribute committee member and supporter of Cooley’s Anemia Foundation among many other organizations.

Ashlie Forum is a partner in the Firm’s Tax & Business Services Division. She also serves as the Firm’s Real Estate and Construction Industry Leader in the Southeast.

The depth of her practice includes proactively planning to leverage 1031 exchanges as well as other strategies. For example, Ms. Forum works regularly with clients interested in direct investment into Qualified Opportunity Zones (QOZs) as well as those creating their own QOZ funds. Additionally, she guides clients through cost segregation studies.

Ms. Forum provides a wide range of tax services to privately held companies in a variety of industries with extensive experience serving family businesses as well as high net worth families. She has provided tax consulting, compliance, research, and tax planning services to privately held companies, as well as assisted with tax controversy issues.
Ms. Forum has ample knowledge in partnership taxation with a focus on the business and compliance needs of limited liability companies. Ms. Forum also has experience in Family Office services, which includes a variety of services from bill paying, succession planning, and investment analysis.
Roger Gingerich
Roger Gingerich specializes in helping clients grow and develop their businesses through creative business and tax planning solutions. As an advisor, he assists clients in developing internal accounting procedures to streamline the recordkeeping process while ensuring the integrity of the information. In addition to leading the region’s Real Estate and Construction group, Mr. Gingerich also has experience in the valuation of privately held businesses and business interests. In this role, he assists business owners, entrepreneurs, and investors in buying and selling businesses including deal structuring, performing due diligence at the tax and financial level, and advising on financing alternatives.

Warren Hennagin is the California Construction Industry leader and a partner in the Costa Mesa office of Marcum. Mr. Hennagin has more than 30 years of experience with audit, accounting, tax planning, and business consulting. He was previously managing partner of a Southern California-based CPA firm where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the firm.
Warren Hennagin
Warren Hennagin is the California Construction Industry leader and a partner in the Costa Mesa office of Marcum. Mr. Hennagin has more than 30 years of experience with audit, accounting, tax planning, and business consulting. He was previously managing partner of a Southern California-based CPA firm where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the firm.
Mr. Hennagin is highly experienced in the construction industry, but also provides computer and management consulting services, as well as quality and internal controls to manufacturing and service-focused businesses.
Mr. Hennagin frequently speaks on accounting matters related to the construction industry, including as a regular speaker at the annual AICPA National Construction and Real Estate Conference. He continues to be involved in national construction and building-related associations on both local and national levels. Mr. Hennagin has also authored many articles for construction-related publications.

Ira M. Kantor is partner-in-charge of the Accounting & Business Services department in the Firm’s Melville office, and a leader in its national construction industry group. He advises clients with financial statement preparation, tax compliance, tax planning, budgeting and forecasting, and business consulting.

Mr. Kantor is proficient in Statement on Standards for Accounting and Review Services (SSARS) and helps develop curriculum for the national Accounting and Business Services Department on an annual basis.
With more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Kantor has extensive experience serving clients in a variety of industries, with a niche working with closely-held businesses in the construction industry. He frequently speaks and is asked to write articles for industry organizations on topics related to accounting and auditing matters in the construction industry.
He is quite active in the construction business community, with leadership positions at the Construction Financial Management Association, Contractors for Kids, Real Estate Institute at Stony Brook University, and at the Institute of Management Accountants, among other community endeavors.

As a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional, Mr. Mercado is knowledgeable in troubleshooting problem job performance for construction projects and recommending practices to enhance profitability. In addition, he is proficient with systems analysis and with the tailoring of accounting software to meet clients’ needs.
Mr. Mercado is a frequent speaker on accounting and auditing matters for construction companies, industry organizations and professional development courses. He has been acknowledged in several publications of the AICPA’s Audit and Accounting Guide – Construction Contractors and AICPA’s Audit Risk Alert – Real Estate and Construction Industry Developments. In addition, Mr. Mercado is the co-author of the AICPA’s Construction Contractor: Accounting and Auditing and Construction Contractors Advanced Issues Training Manuals.
