Hedge fund interests are often narrowly thought of as investments in private investment partnerships. However – in litigation, estate planning, and organizational planning and restructuring – industry participants, their legal counsel and professional advisors frequently deal with a broader category of interests that include hedge fund management entities, incentive fee-earning general partner entities and deferred compensation, in addition to the traditional interests in private investment funds.
