Typical Issues in Valuation of Hedge Fund Interests

Hedge fund interests are often narrowly thought of as investments in private investment partnerships. However – in litigation, estate planning, and organizational planning and restructuring – industry participants, their legal counsel and professional advisors frequently deal with a broader category of interests that include hedge fund management entities, incentive fee-earning general partner entities and deferred compensation, in addition to the traditional interests in private investment funds. In this session, we will explore some of the issues that affect valuation of these interests.
